Pokemon GO UK release! Any tips? What Pokemon have you caught?

Pokemon GO has released in the UK (even though I'm sure many of us UK players had it already :smirk:).

I was wondering if anybody had any useful tips to share? Such as how to level Pokemon correctly, get more items, find rare Pokemon (or specific Pokemon), anything really!

One tip I can share for if you are just starting out (and haven't caught any new Pokemon yet, or have a lot to discover), spend 79p on buying a Lucky Egg.
A lucky egg gives double XP for 30 minutes, and when capturing newly discovered Pokemon you will get 500xp (rather than the regular 100xp for already caught Pokemon), so 1000xp per new Pokemon you catch!
