The community investing in the community

We've talked a few times about investment and more recently Kickstarter.

What we're trying to achieve is

1) Raise the money to develop and grow the site
2) Give back to the community
3) Retain control within the community

Kickstarter seemed like a great idea at first.

Reward based crowdfunding covers 1 and 2 but we've struggled to identify appropriate award tiers for peoples contributions.

So we've discussed the idea of Equity based crowd funding. What this means is you could invest £10 or more ($15 ish) and you would own a small percentage of Social Savanna.

That means, as we grow and as we become profitable you then not only benefit from a better platform, but also you could benefit financially.

We would use a sanctioned platform such as https://www.crowdcube.com/ or https://www.seedrs.com/ and obviously a complete account of what you'll be investing, what you'll get and how we intend to use the money.

As a throwing it out there idea.

Is this something that interests you?

Would you invest in the community?
